I had the honor of photographing a very special little boy yesterday. He’s the long hoped for and long waited for first born of a pretty fabulous set of new parents. And as exciting as it was for me to meet this little man and wonder at the preciousness of a new baby, it was almost more fun to watch mom and dad do the same. They had that new-parent glow–filled with love, amazement, euphoria, and a bit of exhaustion. One glance at them took me right back to when I was at that stage in the days after my sons were born. It’s such a magical time!
I have lots of images from this great session to share, but it’s going to take me a while to get through them all. So the official “sneak peek” will wait, but I just couldn’t wait to share this one. Mostly because I love the story behind it! We had just come back from doing some outdoor pictures and I was peeking around the house for a good spot to get some more indoor shots. I saw how beautifully lit their bed was and when I started pulling up the bedspread to straighten up for the pictures (photographer, bed-maker, I do it all), I was excited to see such gorgeous colors. Grandma chimed in that it was their wedding quilt, lovingly made by many members of the family for the couple’s wedding 4 years ago. It couldn’t have been a more perfect spot for such a perfect shot!
Such a cool shot Amy!
I love this picture! It’s so sweet, with Isaac on the family quilt and mom and dad looking so lovingly at him. It’s very precious!
