“Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul.”
-John Muir
The Eastern Sierra region of California is one of my favorite places in the entire world. Mono Lake is in the backyard of John Muir’s stomping old grounds, Yosemite. Her ancient tufas rise out of the water, reflecting on the surface like an electrocardiogram, seemingly measuring the electrical activity of the very heart of the Sierras. It’s a beautiful, serene, magical place that truly does give strength to the soul.
Fine Art Friday is a continuing project with a collective of amazing photographers. The last Friday of each month, we post a fine art image and link to one from our group. Click over to see Albuquerque Professional Photographer Laura Meek’s image for January.
