Late last week I had the most fun afternoon in downtown Bozeman. I met up with this handsome little guy and his mama for a photo shoot.
I think you’ll quickly see that he was full to the brim with personality!
That personality, mixed with this handsome and adorable face. . .
. . . and it was no surprise that mama is completely smitten with her little man!
I had the honor of photographing a very special little boy yesterday. He’s the long hoped for and long waited for first born of a pretty fabulous set of new parents. And as exciting as it was for me to meet this little man and wonder at the preciousness of a new baby, it was almost more fun to watch mom and dad do the same. They had that new-parent glow–filled with love, amazement, euphoria, and a bit of exhaustion. One glance at them took me right back to when I was at that stage in the days after my sons were born. It’s such a magical time!
I have lots of images from this great session to share, but it’s going to take me a while to get through them all. So the official “sneak peek” will wait, but I just couldn’t wait to share this one. Mostly because I love the story behind it! We had just come back from doing some outdoor pictures and I was peeking around the house for a good spot to get some more indoor shots. I saw how beautifully lit their bed was and when I started pulling up the bedspread to straighten up for the pictures (photographer, bed-maker, I do it all
), I was excited to see such gorgeous colors. Grandma chimed in that it was their wedding quilt, lovingly made by many members of the family for the couple’s wedding 4 years ago. It couldn’t have been a more perfect spot for such a perfect shot!

The final family that I spent my Saturday morning with was not short on love–from mom’s love of the kids, big brother’s love of his little sisters, their admiration for him, to the cute shirts the girls wore declaring their love for their beautiful mama, there was lots of love to go around!
And what goes with love better than kisses?
We had no shortage of those at our session, either!
Even big brother obliged my request to give his mom a kiss. Given that he’s a teenager, I know it was a tall order, but I just love how sweet he was and that you can see the faintest hint of his shy smile as he gives her a peck on the cheek. I sure hope my boys are like this when they reach their teens!
And because I’m a total sucker for adorable little girls (I try to live vicariously through my clients, since I have only sons) a super sweet dose of girly smiles to finish up this post!

He flashed those baby blues and that grin at me a few moments into our session and I was a goner! I can see why his mama adores him.

These two cuties are going to have to share that love with another little sibling come September. . . but I think Mama will have plenty of love to go around! She may have to dig deep for the energy to handle three kiddos, but she certainly will not be short on love!
Mr. Handsome (soon-to-be-middle-child) is all boy. He loves to run and barely stops for a second (hence the need for Mama to have so much energy to keep up)!
And beautiful (just like her Mama!) big sister is just as fast as her younger brother. She’ll stop for a few moments longer, but then she’s off again!
I think “busy and beautiful” really sums them up! I’m so happy for the mama-to-be and had such a fun time getting my workout in during our photo shoot!
