Sass, laughs, and love {Bozeman Family Photographer}

I was on quite a roll with my little adoring fans at Saturday’s mini-sessions.  Big hugs came earlier in the day and then when this family arrived, sweet little 3-year-old presented me with a picture she had drawn just for me earlier that afternoon.  It now sits proudly on my desk! :-)  She was a star during the session and loved giving me a healthy dose of (sweet) sass posing for this image:

And then the laughs came when she had a chance to get the entire family in on the fun. . .

The key to little sister’s big smiles did not lie with any of my silly antics and tricks, it was dear Mama who was finally able to unlock them!

Mom and toddler share some special laughs.

So, in our short session we had some adorable sass, some big smiles, and we still had time for a little bit of love. . .

I’ll wrap up this sneak peek now, with just a little more love, this time with the entire family in on the act!

Gorgeous Morning Smiles {Bozeman Family Photographer}

I kicked off my mini-sessions this past Saturday in the most gorgeous way!

We had lovely morning light, splashes of fall color, and a beautiful smiling family!  We really started out on the right foot when big sister (who I photographed at preschool a few weeks ago) jumped out of the car, ran to me with a huge smile on her face, and gave me a big hug as she exuberantly said, “Hi Miss Amy!”

The smiles never stopped, and she even rubbed off on her little brother!

Spending some time with this gorgeous family was the perfect way to start my day!

Get out there. . . {Bozeman Nature Photographer}

. . . and enjoy it while you can!  Our neighborhood park looked spectacular the other day as I watched my children run around in the sunshine with no jackets on.  I must admit that I’m a bit shocked it’s one week into November and we haven’t had a speck of snow on the ground in Bozeman yet.  The cold air (and snow flurries, too) are forecasted to arrive next week, so get out there and enjoy one last weekend in the sunshine!

Sweet Pea Family {Bozeman Family Photographer}

I’m so excited for this sneak peek, not only because I love so many of the images from this session, but also because I get to tell you about my friend Beatrice.  You see, she crafts the most beautiful, creative, hand-knit hats I’ve ever seen.  She launched Sweet Pea Hats earlier this year and has been knitting practically non-stop to keep up with the demand.  Definitely check out her shop, but I’ll warn you that you’ll have a hard time leaving it without placing an order!

Loving Bozeman family

Even though we had gray skies, the impressive Bridger Mountains and golden colors of late fall made a great backdrop.

I did mention beautiful, didn’t I? :-)

“Fun” and “playful” are words that can also describe these cute kiddos!

Oh, and I definitely can’t forget “curious”!

Hmmmm. . . thinking about how darn cute this little girl is!

Beatrice also did a fabulous job styling her family for their photo session–coordinated, but not matchy-matchy, varying patterns and textures, and a great pop of color.  I’m so happy I could capture these moments for them (and score some amazing hats in the process!).

Oh Amy, I can’t thank you enough for this precious gift!! They are all amazing…
I have no idea why I waited so long to have ‘real’ family pictures taken, but I’ll definitely be doing it again!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you – from the bottom of my heart!

Amy, I enjoyed looking at these so much. I love the backgrounds, lighting, colors, editing, vantage points, composition; they are absolutely masterful. You are awesome!

The final round-up! {Bozeman School Photographer}

Here’s the wrap-up of “Preschool Week”  at Amy Shertzer Photography!  I have to confess, though, that I spent this morning at another local Bozeman school with an equally adorable group of kiddos, so this most definitely will not be the last “Preschool Week” around here!
