Third time’s a charm {Los Angeles Family Photographer}

This is the third time this trio has been in front of my camera and I love getting to catch up with them and see how they’re little guy has grown each year!

Who wouldn’t want to hang out with this cutie, right?!

Three is definitely a magic number!

Baby Will {Los Angeles Newborn Photographer}

I was so excited to welcome Will to the world. . . he’s joining an amazing family that wasn’t shy about showing how they feel about him!

Of course he’d give me a little smile. . . he knows just how loved he is!

Little Will also got to star in a few of his own images.  We did those while big brother and sister were at school, however, because I don’t think they would have put him down if they were at home with him!

It was an honor to capture Will and his sweet, loving family!

Fine Art Friday: Montana’s Finest {Los Angeles Photographer}

“I’m in love with Montana. For other states I have admiration, respect, recognition, even some affection. But with Montana it is love. And it’s difficult to analyze love when you’re in it.”

― John Steinbeck

After soaking in the glory that is Montana in Autumn, head over to see the bit of Texas that Texas Fine Art Photographer Sharon Gartrell is sharing this month!

10 on 10: The iPhone Beach Edition {Los Angeles Photographer}

It’s October 10th, which means it’s time for 10 on 10!  Honestly, I haven’t had my “big” camera out for personal family events lately other than kid soccer games.  And since I featured that in September, I thought I’d share an amazing evening my family had just this past weekend, documented entirely with my iPhone.

It was incredibly hot here in L.A. on Sunday (the thermometer reached 90 degrees here at the beach).  Since we don’t have A/C at home, we decided to get out and make it an afternoon at the beach.  So, we loaded up the bikes and headed for the sand.  Boy were we in for a treat!  We got down to the beach at ultra low tide. . . lowest we’ve ever seen it.  So we enjoyed frolicking on the wide, glassy shores and the viewing magnificent sea stars that were clinging to the beach rocks typically hidden under water.

As sunset drew near, we hopped back on our bikes and headed a little ways north to the fire pits at Dockweiler State Beach.  We had packed provisions for smores and it was time to check “roasting marshmallows on the beach” off of our bucket list!

The real treat, however, was the sunset.  My 4-year-old looked up and said, “it’s like lava in the sky!”

The sky just kept getting more and more spectacular and we left the beach just as the crescent moon started shining brightly in the west.  A perfect end to a perfect family adventure!

Be sure to check out what Southeastern Wisconsin photographer Melissa Schuett has in store for this month!
